travel north america united states hawaii island of oahu honolulu pearl harbor memorial grounds
The landside grounds of the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument consist of several buildings and features.
There are two museums, a movie theater, a snack bar and restrooms, and a museum connected to the Bowfin submarine moored alongside.
The grounds are well kept and filled with visitors, mostly taking in the exhibits in reverential silence.
Be advised that backpacks and such may not be carried into the memorial grounds or any of the other associated sites such as the Arizona and the Missouri.
There are lockers available for $5.00 outside the entrance. If you are going on to the USS Missouri, its best to leave your bags checked here.
